N.Devon Outdoor Learning Partnership is able to offer a wide choice of highly educational outdoor activities and courses carefully designed for all ages and abilities.

We were originally called Bushcraft & Country Way but decided to change our name to reflect the fact that each course we ran relied on a partnership between a local expert in their field and myself as main orgainiser and facilitator.

• Bushcraft Kids/Families - enjoy a day in the woods with the whole family or adventurous days for under 11's.
• Bushcraft Skills - learning fundamental skills for living in the outdoors.
• Stone Walling, Hedge Laying & Coppicing Days - learn and experience the ancient techniques and enjoy a campfire lunch.
• Teachers courses - pre-school and ks1 - ks4 outdoor learning experiences.
• Muir Treks - explore a wild place in the spirit of John Muir.
• Forest School - for pre-school and primary schools.
• Bushcraft Birthdays - for 3 - 11 year olds.

Our courses try to offer a taste of rural or wild living at a basic level through to more advanced skills and techniques. From early morning spring-time bird watching to 3-day Bushcraft experiences.

WHITTLING IN THE WOODS 21st April,

This is relaxing, practical one day course, set around a camp fire in a beautiful woodland environment. No experience is necessary. All equipment is supplied and includes a FREE whittling knife.

Bivouac,Birdwatch& Breakfast 18th/19th May,

Sleep the night around a camp fire and wake up to the Dawn chorus. Enjoy a cooked breakfast after an early morning walk through the woodland and countryside.

Basic Bushcraft Skills w/e 15th - 17th June has been designed for adults and young people over the age of 14 who enjoy the outdoors and would like an introduction to some basic bushcraft skills.

KS 2 Safe & Practical use of knives at Forest School 3rd July 2012

This practical "hands on" course has been especially designed for teachers or leaders in outdoor learning who would like to learn or improve their practical skills for use at Forest School
